S.E.E. Foundation is a 501c-3 organization whose goal is to provide experiences that “connect people and their abilities” while fostering equal expectations and contributions from all. “SEE” is a word that literally pertains to vision and that is exactly what S.E.E. Foundation promotes – Vision. A vision that puts people first and focuses on integration as we promote the essence of each persons’ “ABILITY” both disabled and non-disabled.

About the Charity S.E.E. Foundation, Inc
Aside from her background of formal education, Ms. Katena is unashamed to admit that she is indeed a direct product of her upbringing. Throughout her life, her beloved mother, a 30 year long-time employee of Miami Gardens’ Landmark Learning Center, made it a point to expose her to the lives of the individuals she cared for; individuals who lived with a wide spectrum of disabilities. And from there the seed was planted. She developed a genuine compassion for this population and today that seed has grown into a full blossomed tree of life with many branches now reaching out and extending into the very community where it all began.
Her Vision began one day when she looked around her community and saw that there was a need for a place where the disabled can go and be included without being seen as disabled. A place that not only reaches out to the developmentally disabled (DD) and intellectually disabled (ID), but also to those that have been handicapped by society’s economic oversights and crippled by the disadvantages of their respective environment.
